Agreement aims to strengthen trade relations between Egypt, Pakistan

The chairperson of the Business Women of Egypt 21 (BWE21), Yomna El Sheridy signed with the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry a cooperation agreement to strengthen trade relations between Egypt and Pakistan.

For her part, El Sheridy said that BWE21 is looking forward to expanding dealing in areas with other countries than those it already works with.

“The challenges facing the region require us to look at new and diversified investment opportunities,” she noted.

“It is time to play an important role in supporting foreign trade with other countries such as Pakistan, especially after the presence of China’s silk road,” she affirmed.

On the other hand, the head of the Pakistani private sector mission to Egypt, Ramtallah Javier said that the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two sides is a desire for commercial, economic, and industrial cooperation between both countries.

Javier called for direct flights between Cairo and Islamabad to facilitate trade and economic exchange, and missions between the two countries.

The signing was attended by Pakistani Minister of Planning, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, representatives of the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the representatives from BWE21, in addition to the representative of Pakistan’s ministry of foreign trade, and the head of Pakistan’s mission to Egypt.
